Elderberry syrup (not our great grandmothers’ we just found this ourselves)

1 cup dried elderberry or elderberry herbal mix (get it at your local herb shop or apothecary or hippie grocery store)

4 cups filtered water

1 cup honey

Add water and herbs to a large pot and bring to a boil

Simmer for 45 min to 1 hour (monitor it so that it doesn’t get goopy)

Let it cool

Strain with a strainer, and add purple liquid back to the pot

Slowly add honey and stir while heating until it reaches your desired consistency

Add to mason jar and store in the fridge for a few days

I’m a mom so I’m always on the go, so I always have my Aquaphor lip balm, a hair clip, and my Rare Beauty Mascara mini.

A good grilled salmon with rice and avocado 

What are your favorite caffeine or caffeine alternatives to keep up your energy?

A good morning walk and making sure I have an apple and some almonds too.

What’s your favorite tip to wind down?

Taking time to breathe and just go outside helps me wind down

How about your evening routine?

Making sure I drink a bottle of water before bed and then putting the baby down to sleep, washing my face, putting in all my serums and then finally brushing my hair right before bed so it doesn’t tangle up #CurlyHairProblems.
