Who is Peloton’s Resident Latina Badass Robin Arzon?

Robin Arzon

Us Vamigas ladies love our Pelotons, and we especially enjoy taking Latin music inspired classes and following Peloton instructors. One who’s been on our radar lately is Robin Arzon. She’s Peloton’s VP of Fitness Programming who has created and leads several classes, and is an ultra marathon runner.

But Robin also has an awe-inspiring background that should be turned into a movie one day, with Selma Hayek as the lead. Robin, whose family is Puerto Rican, was once a lawyer. Her life completely changed one day in 2012 when she was taken hostage at an East Village bar along with 40 others, by a disturbed and heavily armed man who doused hostages with gasoline and used her as a human shield against law enforcement.

This traumatic experience led Robin to participate at a 10K marathon, which blossomed into 50 more marathons as well as a career change; she left her law career and became a journalist, even covering the Olympics.

In 2014 she joined Peloton as an instructor and in 2016 was promoted to VP of Fitness Programming.

Since her complete career shift into wellness, she has written two books – Shut Up And Run, full-color motivational and interactive fitness guide and journal and most recently Strong Mama, her first ever children’s book, documenting her pregnancy journey as a Peloton star. She actually created the company’s first prenatal classes, both on the bike and on the floor.

I think it’s so important to show kids from a young age that movement is medicine, self-care is not selfish, and endorphins are its’ own form of magic

As if that wasn’t enough, Robin just had a baby girl in March of 2021, and her new course over at Master Class, launching soon, will be about “lessons & tools to help you realize your full potential and unlock your power.”

“From the moment we found out we were expecting, we felt so connected to her — like we knew her before in a past life,” the new mom says. “We just feel so blessed and grateful that she’s finally here and cannot wait to embark on this next chapter and continue building a remarkable legacy with the newest member of our Wolfpack.”

If you want a little bit of motivation, look no further than one of her Peloton classes, watching her Master Class or checking out her books. This is one incredible and inspiring Latina to watch in 2021 and beyond.
