We talk a lot about our cafecitos at Vamigas virtual HQ. That’s because we’re moms to energetic toddlers, and coffee keeps us from falling asleep at any given time of the day. However, we also aren’t huge fans of the jitteriness and crash that comes after a day of heavy caffeine.
That’s why sometimes you want a non caffeinated alternative that will still give you a kick in the pants.

Four Sigmatic
Four Sigmatic makes drinks that are made out of brewed mushrooms like Chaga, which are a powerful immune-supporters. Chaga and coffee are an excellent way to balance the amount of caffeine in your cup. This will make you less jittery and avoid the sugar high (which comes with the dreaded low). Other ingredients in Four Sigmatic includes Reishi, Cordyceps, Ashwagandha and more, mixed with vanilla, cacao, and even peanut butter. These are organic, and have no funky sugars.
Yerba Mate
Yerba mate is an herbal tea that’s very popular in countries like Argentina, some parts of Chile. Though the drink still contains caffeine, it tends to provide a very smooth caffeine buzz without that coffee crash that no one looks forward to after work. What’s it made out of? The leaves and twigs of the yerba mate plant are dried, and steeped in hot water to make a tea. Yerba Mate is so powerful we even put it on our Pampas Balancing Face Mist!
Teecino
If you’re looking for a completely caffeine-free and acid-free herbal drink that still tastes like coffee, Teecino will always be your best bet. One of the original players in the anti-caffeine game, Teecino is made out of chicory root that you can brew just like coffee – with a French press, drip maker or filter cone. It’s said to boost your energy thanks to the potassium in each cup, and helps with digestion, which is great for folks with things like GERD. Add a little milk or half and half and you have the perfectly brewed cup of anti-caffeine coffee.
What’s your favorite anti-caffeine cup?
