Benefits of Dry Brushing With Rosehip Oil

Dry brushing has been around for thousands of years, mostly thanks to the Ayurvedic tradition from our amigas in India. It involves using a body brush to literally brush the skin on your limbs upwards, towards your heart. After a good brushing, you’ll feel euphoric, like you just had a gummy (wink, wink), and your legs will glow thanks to the exfoliation. It’s the perfect antidote to being too wired in the evening, before you go to bed.

One tiny tweak that takes your dry brushing session to the next level is rosehip.

Rosehip oil is a rich source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids: elements that support the skin no matter how old you are. It can seriously help your dry brushing session turn into an exfoliating, super rejuvenating experience.

I love it so much when I added it to my own nightime routine that I shared it on our tiktok! See my own night time dry brushing + rosehip routine here.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Use the dry brush by brushing in an upwards motion 10-15 times on each part of your body you want to soothe.

2. Repeat on each limb you want to soothe. I generally focus on my legs because I don’t usually have that much time to devote to this.

3. Follow that by applying a really good amount of rosa mosqueta all over the areas you’ve brushed.

You’ll feel your body drink the hydration you’ll immediately get glossy legs, and a surprising sense of calm. Seriously, look in the mirror afterwards, you’ll glow like a beautiful, glazed Latin American donut.

Our Latin American rosehip is excellent for this because it is just one ingredient: pure, organic rosehip. It’s free of any artificial fragrances, dyes and synthetic ingredients that you may find from big, corporate rosehip brands.

What Dry Brushing Doesn’t Do

No matter how many tiktok posts there are pushing the idea that dry brushing helps the lymphatic system, or helps you get rid of cellulite, there’s simply no research that shows this.

Dry brushing is really good at helping you remove dead skin cells from legs and arms, giving you a gorgeous gloss; it will help you feel relaxed and ready for bed, and honestly this is good enough for me.
