Does This Mean That Everybody Wants to Be a Señora?

Borrowing from our Roots?

So cleaning is super trendy now. Wait does that mean you and all us señoras were ahead of our time?!

Some of us are borrowing from our ancestor’s cleaning routines – others are rescuing our abuelitos’ favorite cumbias. Check out Renata Flores, a Peruvian American singer mixing her roots with reggaeton and Peruvian huayno. They forget Paloma Mami, and Mon Laferte who, like me, was born in Viña del Mar (wait, does that make us besties?)

Drugs and Dolls

Researchers have been publishing studies around the drug phenylephrine being ineffective since the 1970s. Why were drug makers giving us cold meds with useless ingredients for so long?

Who is Dr. Simi and why are people throwing his doll at Harry Styles and Adele?

Remote Workin’ Moms

Having the ability to work remotely is punk rock AF for women, especially moms. Why? It helps with retention, burnout, and makes it easier for women to have kids and take care of them. It also helps out moms who are caregivers of disabled people, giving them the flexibility they need.

It also gives us a little bit more time to create Señora slow living routines that help us feel healthier.

Looking for more flexible work? Check out the Mom Project.

Even the formidable Latina firefighter wives of U.S. senators get confused for being their kids nanny.

Senõra Health

Working out between 7 and 9am could give you the best results, say researchers.

All these “national councils” for specific foods, like peanuts and milk? A study just found that many of them are stacked with “experts” nominated by organizations propped up by food brands. For example, it found that orgs like the National Coffee Association nominated a researcher who had found that coffee lowered your risk of cancer. That’s why you can’t really convince yourself that a glass of wine a day keeps the heart doctor away…

Mon Juice’s lemony Magnesi-Om will help you create a calm, well rested Señora era.

Our favorite vitaminas Mary Ruth Organics just added Lustriva to their liquid morning multivitamin, which is supposed to help you with thicker, healthier hair. Get it here and use the code MROSENORA15 for 15% off.

Garden Mistakes

Are you making these mistakes in your front yard? From too much ornamental grass, to too much concrete, I dare you to tell your tío/uncle that his perfectly manicured front lawn is “out of style”.

Espooky Stories

There’s said to be more ghostly activity starting in September and into December — and we know you can feel it. We’re starting a new series leading up to Halloween – Señora Espooky Stories.
