On August 31, Funko posted a teaser with half of the most quoted line in the entire A Court of Thorns and Roses series — “There you are, I’ve been looking for you” — and by the next morning, a full line of ACOTAR Funko Pops was officially real. BookTok’s response was roughly what you’d expect from a fandom that has spent years turning a fantasy romance series into a full personality.
Here’s the actual breakdown, because the collection is bigger and more complicated than a normal Funko drop.
What’s actually in the collection
Nine figures, all pulled from book one — meaning this is the origin-story cast, not the later-series characters everyone’s also obsessed with:
- Feyre Archeron — and not just one version. There’s a Barnes & Noble exclusive in her huntress outfit holding a bow, a Books-A-Million exclusive in her “Under the Mountain” look, and a Pop! Premium figure of her painting the drawers in her family’s cottage. Three separate Feyres, because apparently one was never going to be enough.
- Tamlin — in both his Fae form and his Beast form, with the Beast form as a Funko.com exclusive that includes a flocked chase variant.

- Rhysand — the “bat boy” himself, and the reason that teaser line hit as hard as it did.
- Amarantha — a Funko.com exclusive, 4.4 inches of villain-camp energy, complete with the red hair, the floor-length gown, and a golden crown styled to look like it’s got horns.
- The Suriel — and this is the one people are actually losing it over. Out of nine figures pulled from the most conventionally attractive fantasy cast in recent memory, the internet’s favorite is the eerie skeletal forest creature who mostly shows up to deliver bad news. Never bet against a fandom’s ability to pick the weirdest option in the room and make it the main character.
The timing isn’t an accident
Pre-orders went live September 1, with an estimated ship date of October 1 — which lines up almost exactly with when Sarah J. Maas’s next book in the series, A Court of Splintered Harmony, is expected to hit shelves October 27. Funko also teased a companion Loungefly collection launching the same month. Whether that’s a coincidence or a very deliberate release calendar, the effect is the same: this is shaping up to be a full ACOTAR season, not just one drop.
Why this is bigger than a toy release
Funko making figures for a book series is its own small milestone. ACOTAR spent years as a BookTok phenomenon before publishers and licensors fully caught up to what that actually meant commercially — a fantasy romance series driving the kind of merch demand usually reserved for franchises with a movie or show behind them. This collection is proof that “we read it, we cried, we made forty TikToks about it” is now enough to get a company to greenlight nine collectible vinyl figures, no adaptation required.
Whether or not figurines are your thing, that’s worth noticing. The fandom didn’t wait for permission. It built the demand first, and everyone else is just catching up.
