Fall is the season when getting dressed becomes fun again, and our Fall 2026 capsule wardrobe is built around the pieces we want to wear on repeat. This year, we’re leaning into chocolate brown, rich burgundy, forest and olive green, cream, camel and dark denim, with plenty of texture from cashmere, suede, corduroy and soft knits. The result is an easy, polished wardrobe that feels current without being overly trendy—think great sweaters, feminine fall dresses, everyday denim, barn jackets, beautiful flats and loafers, boots and warm brown bags that work with almost everything.

We pulled together our favorite pieces for the season from brands including Boden, J.Crew, Madewell, Quince, Reformation, Levi’s and more, with a mix of affordable staples and a few pieces worth spending a little more on. You certainly don’t need everything on the list; start with what’s missing from your own closet and build from there. The goal is a fall wardrobe that makes getting dressed easier while still giving you plenty of options for everyday life, weekends, work, travel and dinners out
