Voz, Which Partners With Mapuche Women, Reopens in SoHo

One of our favorite fashion brands right now is Voz, an “Ethical Fashion Brand” that uses traditional ancient Chilean and South American weaving techniques. WWD reports they have reopened their “Sanctuary” store in New York after having to close down during COVID in 2020. The space is an experiential concept that also doubles as a community space focusing on wellness. Its founder, Jasmine Étoile Aarons, is doing some pretty amazing things in this space. It’s a brand unlike anything we have ever seen before.

We love Voz because they protect the livelihoods and cultural values of rural indigenous women globally, and pay a living wage to folks who weave their textiles, many of whom are in Chile. They also call out their materials and processes as sustainable. They partner with Chilean Mapuche Artisans to showcase their work and connect them to customers. Voz lines include ethereal dusters, slip dresses, jump suits, shawls, and more.
